Elegant and distinctive penthouse for sale in the center of Gallipoli with sea view

€ 320000

ref. Sea View penthouse Gallipoli

The property is a wide attic, equipped with beautiful terraces overlooking the sea. An interior designer Marcello Barba, in cooperation with an artist Francesco Oliveti, recently restored the apartment. The accurate renovation brought out original construction features, embellished with exclusive decors and ethnic contaminations. The property is situated on the second floor of typical, Italian townhouse, in the very heart of the Gallipoli’s old town. It is composed of an open space living, a kitchenette, two double bedrooms and one bathroom. In addition, the huge rooftop terrace offers breath-taking view over the old town and the sea. The property also includes private parking space in a nearby parking structure. Gallipoli is probably the most beautiful towns in Salento and surely one of the most requested by tourists. Presumably the most claimed holiday location in Puglia, this town is famous for its splendid architecture, breath-taking views and vivid nightlife. The charm of the old town, in addition to amenities of the new town and finally over 20 kilometres of white, sandy beaches create a truly perfect mix. The town was, originally in Messapian times, a simple fishing port for the nearby Alezio. It then become famous for its baroque old town, a suggestive maze of narrow streets, courtyards and beautiful churches. The 13th century Angioina castle, recently restored to its original splendour, overwhelms the old town’s entrance. The 14th century walls surround the whole old town, which is almost completely encircled by the sea. As a matter of fact, there is only one street that leads to it. Originally, the town walls included 12 bastions and towers. Later in years some of them were modified or even destroyed to gain space for houses and streets. Today, you can enjoy some good wine and spectacular sea views in one of numerous cafes and bars along the city walls, or venture yourself into narrow alleys of the old town to explore its souvenir shops and restaurants. Gallipoli is also the place to go if you look for sandy beaches and entertainment. The coast in the southern part of the town is famous for its lidos, some of them opened during the whole year. Consequently, you can enjoy the sun and the emerald sea in those delightful spots even it the wintertime. During the summer, some of them also remain open after the sunset.
