In the month of March the number of new homes sold in the USA increased by 27%, a record figure and the best result since 1963; sales were over 30% better than expert forecasts. There was an increase in sales in all regions: an increase of 36% in the “North East”, 4% in the “Midwest”, 44% in the “South”, 6% in the “West” (American government data).
