Words cannot describe the Eternal City, neither can its beauty be expressed in just a few lines. For centuries capital of the Roman Empire and heart of the Catholic religion, Rome contains numerous artistic and architectural treasures which permeate the air with the perfume of history.
Prati is the youngest of Rome's districts, to be exact, the 22nd.
Elegant and refined, it is home to the law courts, the Palazzo di Giustizia known by Romans as the Palazzaccio, and is well connected to the historic city centre and Vatican City.
The streets and squares of Prati include Piazza Cavour, one of Rome's largest squares, and various streets packed with shops, restaurants
and bars such as Via Crescenzio linking Piazza Cavour with Piazza del Risorgimento, Via Cola di Rienzo, Via Ottaviano, Via Pompeo Magno, Viale Giulio Cesare and Viale delle Milizie with three barracks belonging to the Army and Carabinieri and Rome's Civil Court.
The Ponte Pietro Nenni, Ponte Regina Margherita, Ponte Cavour and Ponte Umberto I° bridges connect Prati to the left bank of the River Tiber flanked by Lungotevere Michelangelo and Lungotevere dei Mellini.
Prati is well served by public transport including buses and the Metro line A (stations of Lepanto, Ottaviano and Cipro-Musei Vaticani).
